From the shores of Kuwait to the main stage at the Hollywood Bowl, Stuart Ambrose has not had what one would consider a traditional career path. A seven year veteran of the New York and Los Angeles musical theatre scene, and an eleven year veteran of the Reserve Armed Forces, Stuart has seen success in two vastly different careers.

As a performer...

Stuart has been seen on the National Tour of Camelot, starring Michael York, The Ten Commandments, starring Val Kilmer at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, and headlining alongside Dick Van Dyke and Alan Menken at the Hollywood Bowl. He has also had numerous appearances on the daytime dramas As the World Turns and Guiding Light.

Other performing credits include: Starbuck in 110 in the Shade at Pasadena Playhouse; Adam in Cabrillo Music Theatre's Seven Brides for Seven Brothers; Frank Butler in Stages St. Louis' Annie Get Your Gun; and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast at the Phoenix Theatre in Arizona. In addition to his appearance with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Stuart has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony and the Salt River Brass Orchestra.

In the military...

Stuart began as a Logistics Specialist in the Marine Corps Reserve, serving in a service support battalion outside of Atlanta, GA and later an infantry battalion in Pasadena, CA. In 2008 he became a commissioned officer in the Coast Guard Reserve and joined a Port Security Unit based in San Pedro, CA. A recent veteran of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Stuart spent seven months in Kuwait as part of a joint Coast Guard and Navy Task Group assigned to provide force protection and anti-terrorism support at the Port of Ash Shuaiba and Kuwait Naval Base. There, his unit escorted and ensured the safety of dozens of cargo ships transporting vital military cargo for the war in Iraq.

Military awards and honors include: the Navy Commendation Medal; Selected Marine Corps Reserve Good Conduct Medal; Meritorious Unit Commendation; National Defense Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with Mobilization Device); Coast Guard Expert Rifleman Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Ribbon and the Coast Guard Pistol Marksman Ribbon; Coast Guard Reserve Officer Candidate Indoctrination Program Honor Graduate (2008); Commander George E. MacGarvey Award for Excellence in Leadership (2008); Marine Corps Combat Training Honor Graduate with Meritorious Promotion (1998).

Other awards include the prestigious Robert T. Jones Jr. Scholarship for post-graduate study at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Stuart is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta and currently lives with his wife, actress Megan McNulty in Los Angeles, CA.
